The history of temples in Delhi can be traced back to the period of Bishubha dynasty which occurred about 600 years ago. This was the period when the capital of India was located in Delhi. Some of the most popular temples in Delhi include the Jain Temples in Rangretha Nagar, Babulnath Temple in Gokula and the Lord Brahma Temple at Sarnath. Each of these temples have some unique features that attract thousands of visitors from all over the country. The Jain Temples has pictures of Lord Brahma on their stone walls and even have dedicated prayers inscribed in Sanskrit on the walls. Babulnath Temple has a carving of Lord Krishna on the sandstone manor and a mini-temple built in memory of the family ancestors of the devotees there.
