He searched for many years but finally came across this place, where he fell in love with Parvati, daughter of Shatruvanath and decided to marry her. Since then this place is called as Ellora Caves (opened by the then king Ashoka) and has lots of temples dedicated to Parvati and Lord Balabhadra.

Lotus Temple. Lotus Temple is another famous temple located near swanky Lake Pichola. The architecturally stunning Shankaraacharya Temple is worth visiting. The other famous temples here are Parasvanath Temple, Babulnath Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, etc. Tourists can also take a boat ride on the Lake to reach here.
